It's hard to believe I was sitting outside yesterday blowing bubbles with Aiden and Brandon and it was 80 degrees! I sure did have a fun little visit. Two is such a cute age and the boys are a riot. Little whirlwinds of constant motion, they entertained and made me laugh lots. My first night they took me out to dinner, Mexican, one of my favorites, and Texas has the best! The boys love to go out and both were on their best behavior. Aiden is always more than ready to practice his social skills, turning on the charm for anyone who looks at him, what a ham. Friday we ran around getting everything needed for their little birthday party. On Saturday my daughter Erin and her husband Ryan drove down from OKC with their 2 little guys. I think I mentioned this was a 1st for me, to be in one place with all of the boys. What a treat it was to watch all 4 cousins playing together. Erin and Ryan brought the boys the Home Depot Play Tool Bench as their gift. They all LOVE that thing, soon there was plenty of sawing, and drilling going on. Sheesh!
I have to tell you a little story. I was in the kitchen when Alexander arrived. He walked in and just looked at me with the strangest face and said- Nana- what are you doing here! He was literally shocked to see me even though I am sure Erin told him many times I would be there. I think he can only picture me at my or his home and could not associate my being Nana to the twins as well. It was cute.
Here I am squinting at the Sun, something I haven't seen in ages, with 65 pounds of toddlers on my lap. (Notice how interested they are with me).
My two lovely daughters, Erin-Mommy to William & Alexander and Melissa- Mommy to Aiden and Brandon.
All 4 munchkins sitting together,L to R, Brandon, Aiden, Alex and William. Alex was not in the picture mood, notice Aiden looking at him with his eyes rolled to the side. They are all sooooo funny!
So now I am home. No 80 degrees here, but I am now ready to return to my normal calm and somewhat boring or should I say predictable routine. I will however miss the munchkins running in my room every morning laughing and yelling yea! when I open my eyes. :)

Mommy Please Dont Go!
How time flies, my trip has snuck up on me and I am leaving for Dallas tomorrow morning! I set my alarm EARLY today so I could check in on-line with SouthWest and get in the A group. Sheesh. Now I am ticking through my list of to dos and packing. It is really hard to pack with a protester camped out on top of your suitcase. It appears Cleo wants to go, she is however a miserable traveler and I know Jerry will spoil her rotten while I am gone. My Laurel Burch cat tote is packed with goodies to wile away airport/plane time. My latest read "Rhett Butlers People" is included, a new People magazine and a redwork piece I have been stitching while on trips for several years now. Maybe this is the trip I will finally finish it. I can't believe I will be in the big D tomorrow having lunch with the munchkins! Adios until next week!

How My Valentines Day REALLY Went!
Ok people, this is how my Valentines Day REALLY went! I did go and get my haircut. Once all pretty and spiffed up, I ran to the grocery store and picked up the finishing touches for our dinner. I talked to both my girls to see how their special day was going and to check in on my little Valentines. While waiting to hear if my big Valentines flight was on time, I decided to run upstairs and cut wool felt for some orders. Now, this next part is not for the faint of heart. I was humming, and happily zipping along, and then....... oooops, I ran that rotary cutter right up my knuckle, just like peeling a potato I sliced a nice flap in my finger. Oh gosh it HURTS! Its not my heart thats throbbing for V Day, its my thumb! I wrapped a washcloth around it for a long time and next a kleenex (and dont do that because the kleenex will stick to your cut or flap of skin) and pull it open when you take it off. Geeze. After taking a good look Cleo decided we would not have to stitch it back together with embroidery floss and found a special band-aid for me. I made my nice little dinner one handed for my special guy who did arrive home on time with a box of chocolate and the new book I had been wanting to read. And on that note, I am out of here, Happy Valentines!

Happy Valentines Day!
Happy Valentines everbody! Well, I am an hour and 3/4 early, but it's now or never as I probably will not have time to blog tomorrow. Here is a group shot of Hallmarks cute little singing dragons. Don't you just love her cute little toes! She also sings and flaps her wings.
What sort of Valentines Day do I have planned? Well I know I am getting my hair cut, have to look spiffy for my trip to Dallas next week. Jerry is in Dallas on business this week and will be flying home tomorrow. So if flights all go according to plans maybe I will have my Valentine home for dinner, if not it will be just a romantic dinner for two (Cleo and me).
Wishing you all a wonderful and special day full of love and chocolate!

Heart Breaker
Heart breaker Aiden is ready for the big day! Twin brother Brandon was not in the mood to have his picture taken today. Aiden however is more than happy to step in for his brother and any or everyone else. Ha, he is a HAM, do I sense a Hollywood future looming? As for moi, I am feeling much better and am heading up to the studioette to sew, sew sew! As for my poor boys who tried so desperately to avoid me and my germs, they are now both sick. Aaaugh, I feel bad. Germs or no germs, Cleo is feeling fine. So, have you ever wondered, why don't our pets get our colds?
Enjoy the remainer of your weekend!

Treats for my sweets
I found these cute bakery style boxes at Target,
perfect to fill with goodies for my Valentines!
What a lost week this past one has been. I am still sick. I always let a "cold" go too long. You know how you treat your self with over the counter drugs and think it will be all better in a week.... well I finally broke down yesterday and went to the docs. I now have plenty of antibiotics flowing to help kick my respiratory infection.
My poor boys have been trying to keep their distance and I dont blame them. I even settled in the guest room to keep my germs to myself. Germs or no germs, sweet little Cleo settled in with me also. She snuggles up against my back at night and throws a comforting little paw over me. Realistically she probably just loves that HUGE pile of fleece throws and blankets I have mounded on the bed. Oh well, the moral of the story is, if you got the sniffles, don't delay. I am really anxious to get back to work on the new quilt I started last week. And yeah, all the new shows are starting up again one by one. Did you catch Survivor last night? Well, it's time to get something constructive done around here.
A happy weekend to all!

Happy February!
Happy (or not so happy) ground hogs day! Looks like 6 more weeks of winter is heading our way according to Phil out there in PA, my home state by the way. February is one of those months with several special days to celebrate. There's Abe and Georges birthdays, or Presidents Day I should say. Not a big celebration day for me, but government and bank employees like this day. And then there is Valentines Day! Who could not love this cute little holiday, a day to express our love. Cupid and doilies, cut out hearts, red and pink cards with lots of glitter, flowers and CHOCOLATE! Oh gosh I can't wait! I have already purchased all my valentines, addressed them, stuck lots of little heart stickers all over them and readied boxes of goodies to mail to my little cuties.
Speaking of cuties, my blog pic today is the February block from my "Calendar Cats" book. I had so much fun working on this quilt
inspired by my Cleo (who is not a big inspiration at the moment as she is now snoring up a storm) and taking up most of my chair while I type. February is also cold and flu month (and I have one, sniff...sniff.) according to the TV commercials. Not getting much pampering around here today, as a matter of fact I think my boys are avoiding me. No, I know they are avoiding me. So little miss whiney butt is going to go take some Nyquil and go to bed early, sheesh, this is even more exciting than last weekend!
